If you’re unsure whether or not you qualify, the Motability Scheme website has a list of questions you can answer which will indicate if you’re eligible.
You exchange your mobility allowance for a vehicle of your choice, with payments to the scheme transferred directly from your allowance provider. This is a simple solution which negates any further input from you. Bear in mind, however, that you will need to forward an Advance Payment for larger vehicles and cover the costs of any additional extras you choose as well. The scheme accepts trade-ins which can be put towards the cost of the Advance Payment.
The lease lasts for three years after which you can return your chosen scooter, car or chair and receive a brand-new replacement if you are renewing.
